In Fall 2015 I was commissioned by City of Burnaby to do a series of 10 large drawings, each one on a full sheet of watercolor paper, approx 32 inches wide, for a total of over 21 feet. They would form a panoramic if put end-to-end. The Shadbolt Center was having a ‘Culture Days’ celebration and the idea was to have the general public color and sketch and otherwise ‘add’ to the drawings during the celebration. (Yes, they were professionally photographed first!) Great idea, but they needed some work after that before displaying. The assembled pano drawing is shown in this post. It’s fairly low res, so I will include some individual shots later. Watch the following videos taken while I produced the drawings. The videos are fairly short, about a minute or two each. The last one, 6/6 shows some closer images of the final drawings.
