FOUR SEASONS (WINTER) Painting Shapes – 2 of 3

By | December 15, 2015

This was part of a tonal painting exercise – Winter part of Four Seasons.  The point of this exercise is to practice “negative” shape-making and to better understand tonal design.  It can be done over and over, using different colours, different mediums. These are some very essential painting skills that can be improved by repeating this fairly simple exercise. Even though it’s just an exercise, often the results can be quite interesting.
